Diarmaid Gavin presents to compliance officers on 3rd AML Directive, 15 September 2009

At a meeting in Cork on 15 September of the the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland, Diarmaid Gavin - a solicitor in our Corporate and Commercial Department - made a presentation on the 3rd EC Anti-Money Laundering Directive and the impact this will have on client identification requirements for designated persons as well as reporting and training procedures. The Directive is due to be implemented into Irish law by the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering) Bill 2009, which is currently before the Oireachtas.
