More changes are underway at Ronan Daly Jermyn with news this week that the firm has appointed Rory Delahunty as Chief Information Officer — the fourth executive appointment the firm has made in the past 18 months.

Rory was previously Global IT Project Manager for Vedanta Resources plc, a global metals and mining company, where he played a key role in the Company’s strategic technology planning process, successfully managing global projects and developing approaches to improving technology delivery, adding value and managing risk. Rory brings with him almost 20 years of experience in information technology management.

In his role as Chief Information Officer of Ronan Daly Jermyn, Rory will be responsible for the firm’s information and communications strategy, platforming, technology support and training, data governance, systems security and practice support services.

"As we continuously refine our operations and enhance the services we can provide our clients, Rory's expertise will be a tremendous addition to the Firm,” said Richard Martin Ronan Daly Jermyn’s Managing Partner. “Rory’s knowledge and extensive experience with technology, information, and business processes will be a valuable asset to our team and we are very happy to welcome him to the firm."

Tom Noonan, Chief Operations Officer at Ronan Daly Jermyn added “as a firm, we are constantly looking at innovative ways to use technology to do things better, faster and more cost-effectively. Rory’s experience and innovative approach are a perfect match for the firm. I look forward to working with him as we continue to raise the bar for our operations."

This recent appointment is another manifestation by Ronan Daly Jermyn of its drive to set itself apart as an entrepreneurial firm. In April, the firm hired Hilary O’Shea as Business Development Consultant. Hilary is a Commercial Law Solicitor who previously worked in a top tier law firm in Dublin and Paris and was also an Associate with McGrath Management and Consulting Limited. At Ronan Daly Jermyn, Hilary will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing existing relationships with clients.

In July of last year, Ronan Daly Jermyn recruited Linda Kelleher as Marketing Director from U.S. Law firm, Nixon Peabody, with its headquarters in Boston. Linda is responsible for a full range of the firm’s marketing, communications, business development initiatives.

At the beginning of 2015, the firm welcomed Tom Noonan as Chief Operations Officer, to oversee Finance, Administration, IT and Facilities across the firms’ four locations. Prior to joining Ronan Daly Jermyn, Tom had an extensive career in the Food Ingredients industry including a variety of Finance and General Management positions with Biocon, Unilever, ICI and latterly, Kerry Group.

Over the past 12 months, Ronan Daly Jermyn has recruited more than 50 additional lawyers and professional support staff, bringing the firm’s current total to more than 220 people. The firm has seen exceptional growth across its key sectors which include banking and finance, insurance, property and real estate, technology, life sciences, healthcare, education, energy, food, beverage & agribusiness and retail.

Ronan Daly Jermyn is one of Ireland’s leading full-service law firms and the only top 10 law firm with a regional presence. With offices in Cork, Dublin, Galway and London, the firm offers market-leading expertise with the benefit of local access. A staff of 220 people includes almost 100 lawyers who handle a full range of transactions, for both private and public clients, across a broad range of industry sectors.
