Donal Twomey
Partner, Cork Office
Donal is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team. He has extensive experience of professional indemnity disputes and commercial litigation, including judicial reviews. In particular, he advises insurers in the Irish Professional Indemnity market in respect of claims brought against various professionals including solicitors, architects, engineers, accountants and tax advisors.
Donal has experience of all court jurisdictions, including the Commercial Court. In addition, Donal has been involved with and advises on the various methods of alternative dispute resolution, including conciliation, mediation and arbitration, arising from both construction and non-construction related disputes.
Donal also advises both Insurers and commercial clients in relation to investigations and prosecutions brought by various statutory bodies including the Health & Safety Authority, the Environmental Protection Agency and Inland Fisheries Ireland.
Donal is the Partner in Charge of RDJ’s Trainee and Intern Programme.
