Marianne Lonergan

Marianne is a Partner, practising as part of the Dispute Resolution team. She specialises in advising clients in respect of commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, corporate governance, intellectual property and information technology, product liability and in respect of insurance led professional indemnity claims.
Having worked for a number of years in the firm’s Commercial and Corporate Department, Marianne is well placed in respect of company law based disputes. She is involved in providing advice to both corporate entities and individuals on all aspects of inter-company disputes, with a particular focus on shareholder/partnership, contractual and product liability disputes.
She has extensive experience of the Courts at all levels with a particular focus on High Court (including Commercial Court) and tribunals of enquiry.
Higher Education
Marianne is Head of RDJ’s Higher Education team and provides ongoing advice to the third level sector across a range of areas from supporting universities to establish overseas campuses and collaborative partnerships, to assisting with research institutes and their collaborative work, to advising on statutory obligations. Marianne also supports a number of universities in the delivery of up-to-date internal policies and procedures, in addition to advising on complaints, protected disclosures, liability claims, bullying and harassment, intellectual property disputes and judicial reviews.
