Our competition law team is led by Corporate and Commercial Partner Diarmaid Gavin who, prior to joining RDJ worked in the competition law department of a leading UK “magic circle” firm.   • Acted for SCIF Group on the merger notification of its acquisition of the four star McWilliam Park Hotel, Co. Mayo and Connemara Court Hotel, Co. Galway.
  • Acted for Glenmar Shellfish on the merger notification in relation to its acquisition by Lisavaird Co-op.
  • Acted for the receiver of Irish TV on competition and media merger notifications in relation to the sale  of Irish TV to the Irish Post.
  • Advised Landmark Digital on competition and media merger notifications in relation to its acquisition of sole control of
  • Advised Bon Secours Health System on merger control aspects of its acquisition of Barringtons Hospital.
  • Advising Irish Universities and Research Centres in relation to the application of State Aid rules to government-funded research projects.
