RDJ is an advisor to seven of the universities in Ireland and has extensive experience over a period of thirty years in advising the Higher  Education (HE) sector.  Our partner-led HE team provides a diverse range of University Sector specific advice, advising on matters from highly specialised issues to day-to-day operational concerns.

We recognise that, outside of legal advices, industry knowledge is essential in order to anticipate and provide proactive client service. A number of partners in the group have been representing education sector clients for many years and are actively involved in boards and committees throughout the industry. One of our partners is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Business and Law at University College Cork, sits on the board of Cork Education and Training Board (CETB), the Audit Committee for CETB and the Governing Body for UCC. Another partner has sat on the Advisory Board of the School of Law (part of the College of Business and Law), is a Member of the Liaison Committee between the Southern Law Association and the School of Law, and provides advice to a Subcommittee formed to investigate the opportunities available to UCC in the student accommodation sphere. With this in-depth sector knowledge, our education sector group is very well placed to identify challenges for the sector in advance and provide early advices and potential solutions to our education sector clients.
