CIPD Ireland Western Region’s popular annual Employment Law Update returns to Galway on 23rd of January 2020. Keynote speaker, and RDJ employment Associate Solicitor, Caoimhe Heery will review current issues impacting employers in today’s workplace and legislative updates on topics such as compulsory retirement ages, disciplinary hearings, and Parental Leave.

Caoimhe’s employment law practice covers the full scope of employment law issues and encompasses a wide range of industries, including health care, life sciences, technology and education.

She provides practical and commercially focused advice on day to day employment law issues from contracts and policies to grievance and disciplinary procedures to termination processes. Caoimhe has particular expertise with work permit applications to include Critical Skills Permits and Intra Company Transfers and submissions to the Department on skills shortages, on behalf of multinational clients. She also holds a Law Society certificate in Pensions Law and Practice.

A committee member of the CIPD Ireland Western Region, Caoimhe also provides tailored training and legal updates to her clients. She has lectured on the Law Society Diploma in Employment Law and tutors employment law on the Law Society professional practice course.
