At RDJ we recruit, train and nurture trainee solicitors to become not just technically excellent and well-rounded lawyers, but also future partners and leaders of the firm.

Our trainee solicitor programme is intended to introduce you to as many opportunities as possible. We believe the more areas of law you explore, the better lawyer you will become. You will be given the opportunity to work in a range of practice areas and will fully engage in project based legal assignments for a variety of clients to include large multinationals, SMEs and innovative startups. All trainee solicitors work as part of a team with more experienced partners and solicitors.

We look not only for academic excellence but motivation, leadership skills and the ability to work in collaborative teams in a progressive and entrepreneurial environment. All of our trainees share a deep commitment to exceptional service and the provision of high quality legal advice.

We believe our Trainee Solicitor Programme is an excellent opportunity for aspiring lawyers to train at one of Ireland’s most progressive, fast-growing and only national firm.

Applications for our trainee solicitor programme are now closed.

Our summer internship programme is an outstanding opportunity for anyone interested in a career in law to gain valuable work experience. The programme consists of six-week placements in our Cork, Dublin and Galway offices during June, July and August. Successful candidates will be assigned to one of the firm’s main departments – Litigation, Corporate & Commercial or Commercial Property – to gain work experience alongside qualified solicitors and trainee solicitors in those departments.
