Ronan Daly Jermyn has an opportunity for a qualified associate to join our Corporate and Commercial Department. The position will be based in Cork or Dublin. Associates with five plus years of general corporate experience in a leading Irish or international corporate law firm are encouraged to apply.

Acting for a broad mix of Irish, international, private and public sector clients, the RDJ corporate team advises on all areas of corporate and commercial law including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate governance, corporate reorganisations and joint ventures. Our corporate team works closely with other specialist units within the firm to offer coordinated legal advice on areas such as tax, employment, commercial property, and a range of regulatory areas.

What we look for:  

Candidates applying for this position should:

  • have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • be a qualified Solicitor (in Ireland or England and Wales), ideally with 2-5 years' relevant post qualification experience  in a corporate and commercial team in a leading Irish or international corporate law firm;
  • have experience both working in teams and in managing components of transactions independently, with specific experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, transactions; and 
  • be proactive, with a strong business sense and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.

Ronan Daly Jermyn has an opportunity for a qualified solicitor to join our Commercial Property Department. The positions will be based in Dublin or Cork (with a requirement to work on occasion in our Dublin office). Solicitors with two to six years of Commercial Property experience in a leading Irish or international law firm are encouraged to apply.

Acting for a broad mix of Irish, international, private and public sector clients, the RDJ Commercial Property team advises on all areas of Commercial Property law including residential (both traditional and PRS) and commercial development projects, investment acquisitions and disposals and commercial leases. The team advises a broad range of clients including commercial and residential developers, institutional investors, international funds, financial institutions, government agencies, universities, retail groups and other participants in the Real Estate sector.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Transactional real estate experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly manner to enable effective and positive engagement with clients and colleagues
  • A practical and commercial understanding of clients’ needs
  • Excellent technical and drafting skills coupled with a good eye for detail
  • A proven ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure that deadlines are consistently met
  • An ability to work as part of a team and show a high level of initiative
  • A strong work ethic and flexible approach to work

Ronan Daly Jermyn has an opportunity for a solicitor to join our construction team. The position will be based in our Dublin or Cork office (with a requirement to work on occasion in both offices). Solicitors with two to six years of construction law/project experience in a leading Irish or international law firm are encouraged to apply. The main requirement is for non-contentious experience but some knowledge of and experience of contentious work would be helpful although not essential.

Acting for a broad mix of Irish, international, private and public sector clients, our construction team advises on all areas of construction law. Our clients include property developers, contractors, consultants, third level institutions, local authorities and investment portfolios.

The role includes the following:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating all forms of standard and bespoke construction and engineering contracts, (both Irish and international), professional appointments, collateral warranties, bonds, novation agreements, sub-contracts and related documents for all sectors;
  • Development and projects transaction work including development finance; and
  • Public procurement law advice

What we look for:  

Candidates applying for this position should:

  • have strong academic credentials;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • be a qualified Solicitor (in Ireland or England and Wales), ideally with 2-6 years' relevant post qualification experience in a projects or construction team; contentious and non-contentious construction and/or procurement law matters;
  • have a personal interest in and enthusiasm for the construction industry;
  • have the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues, and work well in a team environment;
  • be proactive, with strong commercial awareness;
  • have a track record of excellence in client service;
  • a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure that deadlines are consistently met; and
  • a strong work ethic and flexible approach to work
