Prime Time, RTE | April 5, 2016

Ronan Daly Jermyn Tax Partner Julie Burke, participated in a discussion with David McCullagh of Prime Time on the recent Panama Papers and its implications for Ireland. Julie remarked that a person may have legitimate commercial reasons for having an offshore account.  To the extent there is underpaid Irish tax, Julie commented that Irish Revenue has shown that they have sufficient and adequate powers to deal with such issues as evidenced in their collection of tax from various investigations totalling €2.7 billion.
