Prior to joining RDJ, Connie was Director of IT for RPS Group, a global engineering consultancy firm, where he led the company’s information technology strategic planning and operational service delivery process. At RPS, Connie played a key role in ISO27001 adoption and certification, changing the security culture and positioning the firm for GDPR compliance. He brings with him almost two decades of experience in information technology management.

At RDJ, Connie will be responsible for the firm’s information and communications strategy, platform management, infrastructure support and training, data governance, systems security, and practice support services.

Digital transformation is revolutionising every major industry” said Richard Martin, RDJ Managing Partner. “The legal industry is no exception, with most law firms now embracing digital transformation and the tremendous potential it offers to automate services, increase efficiency, and improve security. Connie’s knowledge and extensive experience with technology and security practices will be a valuable asset to our team.”

Tom Noonan, Chief Operations Officer at RDJ added “we are delighted to welcome Connie to our team. His experience and vision will help ensure RDJ continue to build best-in-class technology tools and enable us to provide efficient and secure services for our clients.”

Connie commented: “I am delighted to be joining RDJ and look forward to working on increasing efficiencies and building on what is already an impressive security strategy at the firm.” He continued “law firms today are under intense pressure from cyber threats due to the nature of the highly sensitive and confidential information they store. RDJ’s approach to information security management and the fact that they are one of only three firms in Ireland that have achieved ISO27001 certification is testament to the high priority they put on managing risks to data.”

Over the past 12 months, RDJ has seen an increase of 10% in lawyers and professional support staff, bringing the firm’s current total to 250 people. The firm has seen exceptional growth across its key sectors which include technology, healthcare, insurance and property. In September 2017 the firm was awarded ISO 27001 Certification the most widely recognised international standard for information security.
