    Mark Barrett has worked in tax for over 20 years in both industry and practice and has advised Irish and international clients on a broad range of tax matters. He has extensive experience in advising international companies establishing in Ireland and Irish companies setting up operations overseas, and has a developed a wide professional network with tax advisers internationally.

    Mark has advised many individuals and families on succession and estate planning. He lectured for the Irish Tax Institute for many years on succession taxes.

    He has extensive experience in advising clients and individuals on all aspects of interaction with the Revenue Commissioners, and in particular on Revenue audits and investigations. Mark is co-author of the Irish Tax Institute’s publication “Revenue Audits and Investigations – the Professional Handbook”. 

    Mark is a past President of the Irish Tax Institute and a member and past chairman of Main TALC, the national liaison body between tax practitioners and Revenue in Ireland. He is a member of the regulatory investigation committee of the Institute. He is also a member of the Taxation Working Group of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland.

    Mark has also presented at many tax conferences nationally and internationally on a variety of subjects and has contributed several articles to the Irish Tax Review and other publications on a wide number of tax matters.
