Patrick Dorgan
Partner, Cork Office
Patrick is a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate team. He has extensive experience in commercial property, development schemes, and shopping centres. He advises property developers, family offices, and privately held property owners.
He is a former chair of the Conveyancing Committee of the Law Society and is regarded as a leading authority on commercial conveyancing law and practice. He has lectured in conveyancing in the Law Society's Law School and speaks regularly at seminars on property law and practice. He is retained frequently as an expert witness in conveyancing matters.
Professionally, he has been closely involved with the Law Society, and was its President in 2019/20 and in that position was the leader of 12,000 practising solicitors in Ireland. He is closely involved in the development of legal policies and procedures and has appeared frequently before Government and parliamentary committees and interfaced at the highest level with Government ministers and officials.
He is the Chair ofhe Law Society’s eConveyancing Implementation Board, tasked with the development and roll out of digital conveyancing over the next few years.
