Sonica is a foreign qualified solicitor and notary, practising as an intellectual property lawyer in the firm’s Corporate and Commercial, Research, Innovation and Technology, Intellectual Property Teams. She regularly advises clients on the registration and commercialisation of intellectual property.
In her capacity as an intellectual property lawyer, she assists the team with research and development agreements, intellectual property licencing and assignment agreements, intellectual property due diligence investigations, clinical trial agreements and general intellectual property advisory services.
Prior to joining the firm, Sonica worked as an associate at a top-tier South African intellectual property law firm and has been involved in both local and foreign trademark prosecution and commercial intellectual property matters. Sonica has a passion for intellectual property law and has a keen interest in all matters relating to the commercialisation of intellectual property, technology and innovation.
