Job Description: Office Manager – Cork office


Role Purpose:

To oversee the operations of the Cork office to ensure a professional and efficient office environment. The position is full-time and will report to the Chief Operations Officer.

Key Responsibilities

1.      To co-ordinate and monitor the activities that occur and management of  the daily workloads to ensure that deadlines are met. Managing reallocation of duties where necessary to ensure all outstanding tasks are dealt with.  Manage staff holidays, ensuring there are sufficient resources at all times.

2.      The supervision of all legal support staff and operational support including reception, canteen and porter services, including managing performance and conducting annual performance reviews. Responsible for all elements of staff careers from recruitment, induction, training and development

3.      Create a collaborative culture to ensure that staff operate on a team basis and that members cover each other and work effectively together. 

4.      Assist in the roll out of administration systems within the office, to include health and safety policies and others as required.

5.      Point of contact for staff to raise issues that arise, responsible for issue resolution and escalation where necessary.

6.      Additional responsibilities as required from time to time e.g.project work.

Background & experience

The ideal candidate will have operated in a similar position in a legal or professional services firm. A knowledge of law would be an advantage.

Key Skills Required

·         Strong people and supervisory skills are essential.

·         Ability to plan and prioritise and manage multiple activities at any given time

·         Excellent IT skills (proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook)

·         The ability to use their own initiative
