Jamie Olden has been appointed the next Managing Partner of RDJ LLP. He will succeed Richard Martin who has been Managing Partner of the firm for 10 years and steps down from the position on 30 September 2022.

Commercial Litigator, Jamie Olden, joined the firm in 2007. In 2013, he was appointed partner in charge of the firm’s new Dublin office, a role in which he spent 6 years, overseeing the strong development and growth of the firms’ Dublin base.

Commenting on his appointment, Jamie Olden said:

“I am delighted to have been appointed Managing Partner. RDJ has a talented team of practitioners and business professionals dedicated to delivering long-lasting business impact for our colleagues and clients. I look forward to leading the continued investment in our people and new technologies to deliver better ways of getting results for our clients. He added, "I want to thank our outgoing Managing Partner Richard Martin and wish him well in the next phase of his career. He has made an enormous contribution to RDJ and its continued success.”

Over the past 10 years, RDJ has experienced tremendous growth and success, expanding into new practice areas and positioning itself as one of Ireland’s leading corporate law firms. An expansion from its original roots in Cork to three national offices and an additional London office has resulted in the doubling of RDJ’s team to more than 280 employees and a marked growth of its client base, both local and global. Membership of the acclaimed international network of lawyers, TerraLex, provides RDJ clients with operations outside Ireland access to legal services in all corners of the world.

Significant investments in technology and security, along with partnerships with leading technology companies, have also resulted in a digital transformation for the firm, improving client engagement, collaboration, and service delivery.

Strong investments have also been made in Wellness and in Diversity and Inclusion with the firm achieving international standards in both.

Most recently, the firm rebranded under the RDJ LLP banner, boasting a new look and feel with a bright and modern visual identity. The new brand supports the firm’s strategic ambitions and strengthens its reputation as a great business to work with, and for.

Richard Martin, commenting on Jamie’s appointment, said in a statement:

“We are delighted to have someone of Jamie’s calibre leading our firm into its next phase of growth and development. Jamie drove the hugely successful opening and development of our Dublin office before returning to Cork in 2019. He has the full support of the whole partnership and we all wish him every success and happiness in the role. For me, I am looking forward to returning to full time legal practice at RDJ LLP”
