RDJ is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 RDJ Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship. This annual initiative is designed to promote greater diversity within the legal profession by supporting two students studying law at University College Cork.

In furtherance of the firm’s strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, preference will be given to students from the following priority groups:

  • Students from ethnic minorities
  • Students who are migrants or refugees who are lawfully present in the State
  • Students with a disability who are DARE (Disability Access Route to Education) eligible

Last year’s recipients, Alicia Olaniran and Ester Evangelista, each received a €5,000 scholarship and a work placement with RDJ. The selection process included a review of exam results, a personal statement, a 1,000-word essay on “The Need for Diversifying the Legal Profession in Ireland,” and an interview.

In this recent interview, previous year’s recipients discuss the barriers they have faced and highlighted the positive impact of initiatives like this scholarship in advancing inclusivity within the legal sector.

Applications for the 2025 RDJ Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship are now open. For more information and to apply, please click here. The closing date for applications is Friday, October 24th, 2025.
