• Aoife O'Sullivan



    Aoife is a Solicitor in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department specialising in Healthcare Law and Data Protection. Aoife advises healthcare professionals and hospitals in the defence of medical claims in the Irish Courts as well as advising both private and public sector clients on best practice in data protection and, specifically, GDPR compliance.

    Aoife completed a six month secondment with National University of Ireland Galway where she was involved in drafting and negotiating legal terms in externally-funded research contracts, and other research or collaboration agreements on behalf of the University’s Research Office. In this role, she worked closely with the University’s academics, funding agencies, educational institutions and industry partners, both in Ireland and in Europe. Aoife also worked closely with the University Solicitor and undertook specialist legal research and assisted in providing legal advice to support the delivery of services and academic activity across the University. Aoife also prepared presentations for University research staff regarding their obligations under the Data Protection Acts when undertaking research on behalf of the University.
