    Experience

    As Managing Partner, Richard is responsible for the management and strategic growth of Ronan Daly Jermyn (RDJ). He chairs the firm’s Management Group and oversees client development and acquisition of new talent. Prior to becoming Managing Partner, Richard served as Head of RDJ’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department for 10 years.

    Richard has over 30 years experience at RDJ. He advises on a wide range of commercial disputes and has particular specialty in the areas of Professional Indemnity and Media and Entertainment. He has considerable experience in the resolution of large scale complex disputes and has represented clients both in the Irish and European Courts and in national and non-national Arbitral Tribunals. He also has extensive experience in the area of Administrative Law, having been involved in many of the leading cases in Judicial Review in the High Court and Supreme Court of Ireland including in the areas of Planning, Public Procurement and various public licensing regimes. 

    Richard serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cork Chamber of Commerce, Cork University Hospital Charity and the Glucksman Gallery in University College Cork.  He is Chair of the Barryscourt Trust, a member of the Board of Management of one of Cork’s largest primary schools and he is a Trustee of Cork Cricket Club.
