We support:

  • Public and private hospitals. Having advised some of the most high-profile and complex healthcare litigation cases in Ireland, our team is the preferred choice to provide frontline legal advice to hospitals in the defence of public and private indemnified clinical negligence claims. We also continue to act on high-value transactions and developments; for example we recently advised Europe's largest private healthcare provider on a €77 million major capital expansion project at its Cork hospital.

  • Health insurers and indemnifiers. RDJ uniquely acts for both the Irish State Claims Agency Clinical Indemnity Scheme (which covers the provision of publicly funded healthcare) and on behalf of leading private healthcare providers in the Irish State and their insurers/indemnifying bodies. As part of our service, we also provide advice in relation Inquests/Professional Regulation Inquiries/HSE Inquiries/Commissions of Investigation.

  • State Agencies: RDJ Healthcare also provides advice to various branches of the Irish Government to include the HSE, the Office of the Ombudsman for Children and Local Government.

  • Nursing home facilities. Through our historical representation of nursing homes, our teams are very familiar with the medico-legal, regulatory and legislative framework in which nursing homes operate.

  • Primary care centres (PCC). We were advisors to Ireland's first PCC. Our innovative approach to the HSE documentation has been adopted by PCC centres nationwide.

  • Pharmacies. We offer an in-depth knowledge into the pharmacy sector having advised on several significant acquisitions and disposals.
